A histopathological study of urinary bladder neoplasms

The present study was carried out to describe the Histopathological features of various neoplasms in urinary bladder biopsies and categorize neoplastic lesions according W.H.O (2016)/ISUP classification tumors. A total 37 cases, 28 (TURBT) 9 cystectomy specimens neoplasia [histologically proved] patients were studied retrospectively over period from June 2016- Oct 2018 Pathology department Smt. N.H.L. medical college. All cases urothelial carcinomas graded histologically WHO classification. Maximum numbers are age group 60-69 years. Males (78.37%) more frequently affected as compared female. most frequent Neoplastic findings Urinary is Invasive Papillary Urothelial carcinoma (81.06%); Low grade (37.8%) being common than High (35.14%). large percentage (80%) high invasive cell presented with muscle invasion. Invasion propria layer correlates tumor. In 18.5% detrusor absent, hence importance including biopsy needs be emphasized. We must accept fact that grading highly subjective future molecular immunohistochemical studies will provide better reproducibility.
